About Meandering Mind Systems
Neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill solopreneurs deserve systems and processes that treat their energy as the incredibly precious resource it is.
That’s what I’m here to help you with!
Hey, I’m Alex!
The brains behind Meandering Mind Systems, and your new partner in co-designing and implementing systems that work with your brain and energy levels.
I'm a Holistic Systems Strategist & Service Delivery Designer who helps neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill solopreneurs create intuitive, stress-free business systems that fit their energy, needs, and the way their brain works—without forcing them into rigid, one-size-fits-all solutions.
Rather than purely focusing on tech and automations, I take a human-centred approach—looking at your entire business to fill in the gaps, simplify your processes, and ensure your systems work for you, not against you.
Hold up… a music degree and a gender history degree?
Believe it or not, I'm not a formally-trained "techy" person—I actually studied music and then gender history before founding Meandering Mind!
As a millennial who grew up spending way too many hours on the internet, and then even longer trying to figure out what the heck was going on when I began working in a blockchain start-up, I'm self-taught when it comes to tech. That means I know exactly what it's like to feel completely lost and overwhelmed when faced with a tech problem you don't know how to solve.
When you work with me, you get a partner who values autonomy, ownership, and accessibility:
If you're tired of hearing advice like "just hire a Virtual Assistant!" in response to your struggles about keeping everything running smoothly in your business, then you're in the right place.
I'm a strong believer that outsourcing our client management and backend admin headaches isn't the best solution for neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill solopreneurs…
…and it’s because of a little thing called The Disability Tax.
As neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill people, we typically have a higher cost of living than our non-disabled, non-chronically ill peers. And many of us started our businesses to find a way to better cover those costs that constantly crop up.
When that's the case, few of us can afford to spend upwards of £1,000 a month on hefty VA or OBM retainer fees.
That's why my Done-With-You support packages are all about accessibility, and giving you the autonomy and ownership over your own backend systems that you deserve—you'll never be held to ransom with high monthly support costs that you can't extract yourself from, and you'll never be presented with systems that you've had no hands-on support learning how to use.
Meandering Mind is all about empowering you to design the systems that work best for your brain, body, and capacity, showing you how to play around and have fun with them, and giving you the keys so they remain yours and yours alone.
Meandering Mind’s values
Anti-hustle, anti-capitalist, non-conformist.
Having spent years trying to keep up with the 9-5 grind and burning out because my needs as an AuDHDer (autistic x ADHD) person weren't accommodated, I firmly believe in a non-conformist approach to systems strategy that de-centres hustle culture and capitalist ideals wherever possible.
You are worth so much more than the number of hours in a week you can work, how hard you can hustle, and how many times you put your business and clients ahead of your personal life and your own health and wellbeing—and your systems and processes should reflect that, too.
Holistic, full-circle systems.
I believe that it's impossible to design effective systems without looking at the full picture of your life—because your systems should be supporting you during the hours you spend away from your business just as much as it supports you while you're actively working.
No “one-size-fits-all” solutions.
There's no "steal my strategy" shortcuts or copy-paste solutions when you work with me—in order to help you co-create systems that actually work with your brain and energy levels, you need one-of-a-kind solutions that are unique to you. That's why my offers are "Done-With-You"—so I can talk through ideas with you and get to know how your brain works.
“Who do you work with?”
I primarily work with creative service providers who deliver 1:1, package-based services to their clients, such as:
Graphic designers
Copywriters
Content strategists
Social media managers
My services are best suited to 'solopreneurs'—business owners working alone, without a team.

No, you don't have to be neurodivergent, disabled, or chronically ill to work with me. I also support clients who have children, partners, and other loved ones who identify as neurodivergent, disabled, and/or chronically ill. I understand that you don't have to be part of this community yourself to benefit from a slower, kinder way of working and using systems in your business.
You also don't have to have any official diagnoses or bits of paper that "prove" your neurodivergence, disability, or chronic illness. There are many reasons why we can't or don't want to pursue "official" diagnoses, but that should never be a barrier to you getting the support you need from me with your business.
When you work with me, you're welcomed to share any information you feel comfortable disclosing, but ultimately your private medical information is exactly that: private.

My services are designed to help you deliver set packages on repeat with ease. If you're currently using a custom packages/project model in your business, my services aren't going to give you the same high-impact results as when you have standardised packages.
👉 Got your packages planned out and ready to go but haven't launched them yet? We can still work together—I've helped clients set up their systems for brand new services prior to launching, so they're ready to sign clients into their new packages with confidence.
👉 Need help figuring out your packages? I highly recommend working with Ceels Lockley inside of Dreamium before you come to me for a Rebalancing Review.

Nope! When you work with me, we kick things off with The Rebalancing Review which allows us to complete a holistic audit of your systems, regardless of which tools you're using right now. During this offer, we'll talk a little about tools and figure out if what you're using right now is working well, or if there's an option that's a better fit—but it won't be the primary focus of our Review.
My follow-on offers from The Rebalancing Review do focus on Dubsado and Kitchen.co as the tools to build your backend systems around because, in my opinion, these are the options that are typically best-suited to the kind of systems my clients benefit from. However, there's no pressure to continue with a follow-up offer, and during The Rebalancing Review, I'll be completely honest with you about whether I think Dubsado and Kitchen.co are the best fit for you and your clients.

My offers are holistic, human-centred, and led by you. I primarily work in Done-With-You formats because as neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill solopreneurs, our needs are so unique and diverse, offering copy-past strategies in a Done-For-You package just doesn't cut it, in my opinion!
Many of my clients tell me they felt really scared of or intimidated by working on their systems before working with me—but my job is to make you feel safe, in control, and confident that you've got autonomy over any systems and processes we design for you.
Values check:
Meandering Mind aims to be a radically inclusive space that celebrates people of all genders, sexualities, races, colours, abilities, neurotypes, and shapes and sizes. I stand for a Free Palestine, and I'm committed to taking a decolonialist approach in my work.
I love to work with kind humans who are passionate about the same radical inclusivity, no matter where you are on your journey of learning and unlearning.
If you have any questions about how I work to incorporate my values into my work and approach, or would like to discuss further if we’re an aligned fit in terms of values, I welcome you to complete a contact form and tell me what’s on your mind so we can chat.
